Guest guest
The last one I saw was a small amount and very loose. He's in Gr. 1 so it's hard to know what happens while at school. It's been a very long time since he's had anything solid. > > Hi Cheryl, > > How are his bm's now? > > Sheila 46 mos SCD, 20 yrs UC > mom of SCD 31 mos > > > All he is eating is: > > eggs (with SCD legal calcium powder) fried in olive oil > > cooked carrots > > cooked green beans > > pear sauce > > chicken > > hamburger > > jello - gelatin, Welch's grape juice 50/50 > > Welch's grape juice 50/50 > > > > Is there anything more I can do. If the frequency of the stools has decreased you may be able to try starting with a small amount of yogurt (1/8 - 1/4 tsp). Sometimes the yogurt helps improve the stools. Let me know about how often he's going /day. Also does he have cramping, gas any other symptoms and has there been any changes (good or bad) since the sesame seed bar. Guest guest
just wanted to share my experience. . . with regard to what sheila was saying. i was going crazy trying to do SCD with 3 kids. My one child was having such a hard time with each new foods. or maybe it was me having a hard time with interpreting each bit of results. He was a kid who tended to very loose, badly formed stools and so i have a theory that it took some time to train his bowels or maybe healing time, or maybe to establish a good bacterial population, to do anything differently so he only passed every 2-3 days at first. a long time to wait for data from each new food. after starting even as little as 1/4 tsp of goat yogurt i started seeing solid formed stool each day. i must say he had been dairy free for 2 years prior so i was hesitant but the SCD was very hard with 3 kids when 2 were ready for a new food and waiting for their brother. so for any that are reluctant to try goat yogurt i hope this gives you what courage you need to try. donna in nJ with 3 celiac kids ages 7, 10, 13 > Sometimes > the yogurt helps improve the stools.
