Guest guest
I don't know about statistics, but there are several twin mommies on the board! I'm bicornate and just had twins (they are 15 weeks now), one in each horn ... Layci is either UU or BU but carrying both twins in one horn, she is almost 31 weeks now ... and there was another lady whose babies are almost a year old now... that I know of just this year! A uterus is a marvelously stretchy thing, you'll need to keep an eye on your cervix and may well go on bedrest to reduce the chances of pre-term labor .... but I made it to 36 weeks and had 2 6.5 lb babies so I know it can be done Congratulations and good luck! I don't get on much these days (2 babies and a toddler don't leave me much posting time!) but I'll keep my eyes open for updates from you! and if you need any tips I'm all full of helpful hints LOL... hugs Mikki 38, BU/SU, 7 m/c, DD 10/25/95, DS 8/5/02, twin boys born 10/19/04 http://www.babiesonline.com/babies/n/nathanryan/ PG with UU and Twins > > > Help! Guest guest
Hi! I am not experienced with UU, but I have UD and am currently 31 weeks and 1 day pregnant with twin girls...one in each horn. You would be surprised how well these uteri of ours hold up, even with 2 babies! However, I also have an incompetent cervix so I had a cerclage put in at 16 weeks and have been stuck here in the hospital since 18 weeks because of cervical funneling and shortening. The point is though, that my uterus has stretched out just fine! In fact, my fundal height is measuring 43 weeks right now! Ha! It's quite amazing if you ask me. Anyway, I wouldn't panic too much if I were you. God blessed you with 2 babies for a reason. Layci, 26 UD/IC My little angel in Heaven, Saylor Kayte, 12-28-03 PG with twin girls, 31 weeks 1 day (13 weeks 1 day in hospital = 92 days! YUCK!) > > Help! Guest guest
Hi, wow, I am sure you are scared, but try to not worry too much. I've been reading this site regularly for 2.5 years and have seen quite a few cases of UU with twins. Two names that spring to mind are in spring of '03 and Keels about five months ago, or so (maybe more... maybe seven months ago... ). Both delivered full term twins. If you search the archives you should find others. So it's certainly not impossible-- the uterus was made to stretch and stretch and stretch!! Just watch your cervix, drink a TON of water, and lay low. And pray. congratulations! > > Help! I was diagnosed with a UU in 2000 and have been ttc for 6 1/2 > years total.
