Guest guest
Hello Donna, I've been in lurker mode for a while. I still try to read what's going on at least every other day. Some days it's just too depressing to find out how hard others have it. I'm the lucky " poster child " for early detection! My hernia operation went well. I had 2, not 1, incisional hernias but the surgeon was still able to repair it laproscopically. It is much easier to recover from laproscopic surgery than being opened up all the way again. I've started going on walks again but it'll be a little while longer before I can start running. I saw the onc the other day and everything still looks good. CEA is still below 1. I haven't had any CT scans of my chest so the onc has been looking at chest x-rays. He talked a bit about how the blood vessels in the center of my chest looked bigger or denser when compared to the last one from 9/03. He also said that it could be just the technique of exposure (or whatever). I think it's all the running I was doing earlier in the year. :-) Even when everything's ok, it's not. There's always the hmmm, is that anything to worry about? Well, I'm not going to worry about it until there's something to worry about for sure. I'm scheduled for another CT scan on 5/21 and this time I'll have chest, abdomen and pelvis. No worries! Hakuna matata. Anyway, I'd better get back to the dirty dishes. Miracles happen!
