Guest guest
and Lesley, You are both right, the CI surgery is this week. J goes in early tomorrow (Thurs) so she can have an EEG to try and work out what the heck is going on with these fits, then CI on Friday morning. Let's just say I am not feeling at my most calm and I will be very very glad when the surgery is all over. I am more worried about the surgery than the outcome. All that said, I was at her school today for a parents' signing class and had lots of support from other parents who have been there (CHARGE not always a factor but hey, at least they have a clue!) and I was pleasantly surprised that even the deaf school staff who I know definitely do not approve of this decision were really sweet, said they would be thinking of J and us all, wished us luck and requested that we tell them how it goes after. Can I wish for any more? They all think the world of her. Will hopefully be back home on Sat all going well. I am sure Simon will keep you all posted in the meantime. He is taking J in tomorrow and Elly and I will meet them there when I finish work and I will stay with her and he will come back with E and return to hosp on Fri morning after dropping E off at nursery. Phew!!! Fine tuned swapping of kids. You know the drill Lesley. On that note, I will be off work for 2 weeks with J so better get back to panic updating of my client files before my last day tomorrow (at nearly 11.30pm!!!!????). Thanks both for thinking of us and will be back to tell the tale. Flo

Guest guest
Thanks for your best wishes. Jess and I went to hospital this morning not for the CI but an EEG. She was a star and everyone who wanted to do something be it take temperature, stickblacked out goggles on her was allowed to. They all took on board either to involve her or do it to me first. Flo and Elly joined us later and Flo has stayed. She is in theatre for her CI at 8.30 tomorrow morning (UK time). Simon

Guest guest
Flo (and Simon), I am glad that 's surgery is behind you and that it went well. And I am glad that the active little Bunny is doing what she does best!! Flo, not at all shallow to comment about your little bunny's double-sided smile--she went in with it and it is good that she came out with it. pam
