Guest guest
hi,mi name is azariel coss i had an ablation two weeks ago and I am feeling good so far, third day was the worst with many short episodes and skip beats,i been dealing with a-fib for seven years and the main reazon i did the ablation was not the episodes cause they almost disaper after taking atenolol and tambocor,i wanted not to feel my heart anymore its really impossible not to hear it it beats so hard that moves my shirt(or a book if iam reading one)my wife tells me she can see it pounding on my neck and scares me,its relly hard to sleep at night, even after the ablation its there pounding with the same strenght.i really like to think that its my mind and that knowing that i have a-fib its making me more aware of my heart,is this normal? do i just have to learn to live with it. please i would really like to hear any comments about hard pounding thanks

I have heard that beta bockers cause the heart to beat more strongly. My own dosage was recently increased from 50 mg a day to 100 mg a day of the one I take, and I have noticed that some of the extra beats I feel are much stronger and harder to ignore. Also I can now easily see my pulse at my wrist. If your ablation succeeds as your heart heals, perhaps your doc will let you see if reducing the dose of beta blocker is okay.
