Guest guest
Congrats, ! Just take it easy! Keep up with your water, protein, vites and so on. Each doc has their own protocol to follow regarding post-WLS pregnancies. You'll do just fine! I think the most important thing is to enjoy your pregnancy! Blessings, Jordan's Mommy ( in California) Just found out I just found out from taking two home pregnancy tests (ept) that I am pregnant and I think I'm about 5 weeks. I had open rny October 1 of this year, so about 10 months ago. I'm worried. I don't want to lose the baby, I don't want to harm the baby, I don't want to gain back the 150 lbs I lost so far and I want to be able to continue my weight loss once the baby is born (never been pg before, btw). I have my first appt this wednesday to " confirm " . Is there anything I should be doing special besides any other pregnant lady to make sure we stay well? I appreciate any support. I'm happy and very worried at the same time!

Guest guest
, Most of all try and relax. I got pregnant at 10 1/2 months out and everything has been fine. Others have gotten pregnant even sooner and done fine. There are a lot of good women here with excellent advice. Congrats and start reading everything. I had lost to within 8 pounds of my goal weight and loss `12 more pounds in the first trimester from good ole all day sickness. The baby has done fine and I have now gained 14 pounds at 32 weeks. This is a huge difference from my gain of 60+ with prior pregnancies. Just concentrate on the needs of the baby now and your weight will take care of itself. Guest guest
Thank you so much for your words of kindness....I know what you mean when you say to take someone with you...I don't think I heard anything after the doctor told me it was cancer....I a 53 years old divorced mother of 2 grown children and 7 months ago I had a gastric bypass and have lost 115 pounds and my life was just starting to get back to normal...feeling good...looking alot better than I have in years and now this....all I see when I pull up websites is that colon cancer is one of the deadliest forms of cancer and my heart almost stops. I am waiting to hear from the doctor as to when I have my CT Scan and talk to the surgeon....again thank you so much and I will definitely be coming back here when I find out more.
