Guest guest
Brat, Why South Carolina? Do you have people there? It can get awful lonely in a strange place, and being from a completely different social mindset. I know that from experience. Wish you luck with it, though. I sure understand about getting away from that white stuff. Love, MM

Guest guest
Nope, no family in South Carolina. It just looks like a place with a climate I could live with.
Guest guest
Brat My Brat, I have seen Bill Cosby several times up at Lake Tahoe...mostly in my misspent youth. A friend and I were all set to open a dinner theater, had financial backing and all that, and were invited up to Harrah's to look at how their operation was set up. We were treated to the dinner show, and then shown backstage to look at the dressing rooms and costume shop, etc. As we came up the hallway where the major attractions are given their dressing rooms, Mr. Cosby was coming out of his dressing room just as our guide offered to introduce us to the star. We had our backs to his door, and not seeing him, I said, "Oh, no, don't disturb Mr. Cosby, we just came to look at the equipment." "JUST CAME TO LOOK AT THE EQUIPMENT?!?" he roared. "Whaddaya mean, you don't want to meet ME?!?" Then he laughed and shook hands, and asked about a million questions about what we were doing, where we were from, etc. Very personable, not at all lofty tofty or up tight. I sure felt about two inches tall, though. LOL The singer on the bill that night was Cole. Quite a combination. Love, MM

Guest guest
Hey, Bart, Isn't it funny? I don't think it's been all that remarkable, my life that is. I was so brain- washed as a kid about not living up to my potential that I still feel like an underachiever a lot of the time. Aren't we silly, though, about ourselves? I didn't actively seek out my interesting experiences, not consciously, anyway, they just happened around me. I often think God gave me a very strong and active guardian angel to have survived some of the things I did in my misspent youth. LOL Love, MM

Guest guest
Hey, Brat, I wish I HAD a pool handy. I love to walk, and while it is boring just walking back and forth in a warm pool, at least I am walking without too much pain. I really miss the feeling of being weight- less, the boost to my selfworth, and I miss the interaction with the other fat ladies in the pool early in the morning. We were the only ones with nerve enough to appear in swimsuits, and we made the most of having all the men to ourselves. LOL Love, MM

I don't like that! But it could be worse, Syracuse has had more than we have! Oswego has lost their winter break vacation because they've missed so much school, so it really could be much worse! Guest guest
Ok, I just heard from his Dr. His Malaria is being complicated by the fact that he also has asthma. His BP is too high. They are sending him home to Pa. The Dr will keep me appraised of the plans. Please keep the prayers a'coming! I will have to have "words" with him for NOT telling the Dr's earlier about the asthma! And then I will joke with him about him doing *anything* to get back to the States! So yes, he will be home soon. As a civil engineer I am sure he will be able to get another contract, as soon as he is well. He is apparently a work-aholic, but will probably lose the Ghana contract (which is good, actually!) The Dr is very sweet and was telling me about how Mike told him that I am "the woman of his dreams", aaaawwwww ~*~Hugs~*~ ~*~Akiba~*~
