Guest guest
Now I'm really confused. Up until recently I thought the only doctor in the US that didn't cut muscle was Dr Mont. Then last week I saw a post by who said that Dr Schmalzreid told him that he didn't cut muscle, but seperated it.( I sent an email to Chuck for clarification but have received no reply). I also thought that the English doctors and deSmet in Belgium didn't cut either but today I see a post about Dr deSmet that states he does cut the short external rotators and then re-attaches them. This was rather shocking because up until now I think MOST of us thought he and the English doctors cut none of the muscle. In my search for a quick recovery after surgery I always felt the less the muscles are cut , the faster the healing. So where are we now? Who cuts and how much? Could the American doctors, who have said that they do cut muscle be referring to the same muscles that deSmet speaks of? Perhaps people who have appointments with doctors could ask them to clarify exactly which muscles are cut and then post it on this site.Or if you've already had the conversation, like with Schmalzreid, please post what the doctor said. It would be nice if we could find if there is a difffernce, doctor to doctor, and what the difference is. Thanks. Tom ////////////
