Guest guest
Kenny, Dairy and eggs can be eliminated from SCD. If you look at pecanbread.com, you will find an ASD intro diet that does not include dairy. http://www.pecanbread.com/foodprep.html As for the yogurt, as long as your son is not allergic to nuts, you will be able to make nut yogurt that is completely dairy free. You can get dairy free yogurt starter and acidophilus from GI ProHealth. http://www.giprohealth.com As for the elimation of eggs, you will find quite a few egg free recipes on pecanbread.com. http://www.pecanbread.com/recipes.html Welcome to the list! Others had success with it but reached a progress plateau and decided to try SCD. In many instances there was further advancement with SCD. In a few cases people opted to drop out and combine SCD with other protocols and some were successful. This is something we don't recommend but we are always happy when someone finds something that works best for their child. There are some children for whom SCD is not suitable. One size doesn't always fit everyone. But be aware that overall success here has been impressive whether or not a family used SCD as their first dietary intervention or transitioned from another program. Carol F.
