Guest guest
I was wondering the exact same thing... Cerclage Question Hi all- The posts on cerclages has me wondering how many women on this board who have had resections have had IC and/or cerclages? None of my docs have mentioned this as a cause for my previous losses or as a concern in future pregnancies. Just wanted to poll everyone. Guest guest
Hi Grazia, I have UD and incompetent cerivx. I don't know if there are specific types of anomalies that are more susceptible to incompetent cervix or not, though. I have read that many UD cases are likely to IC, but I'm not sure about the others. It's just a precaution all of us " MA-ers " should be aware of I guess. Guest guest
We should also find out how many women with resections did not have incompetant cervix! This way we have a ratio to see if it is common or not. -Kim Cerclage Question Hi all- The posts on cerclages has me wondering how many women on this board who have had resections have had IC and/or cerclages? I had asked about getting a preventative cerclage due to my history (uterine rupture along a complete septum), but was advised that they'd rather not do one due to the possible complications. I wish they had, but it fortunately turned out OK. Anyway, I went in for a regular two-week check up, and my cervical length was 0.3cm and funneling badly. They sent me straight to the hospital for the cerclage, and I was on bedrest from that point on. Hope that helps! - Loss at 20wks due to uterine rupture , miracle boy, b. 5/8/04 at 30wks -- growing like a weed!
