Guest guest
, although the results are probably a bit alarming, it must help to have a proper and accurate diagnosis to help you explain your fatigue, etc. and to help you get what you need to remedy the situation. Thanks for sharing! Nieder wrote: Hello everyone, Been meaning to let people know what happened with my sleep study. Just been super busy with midterms! I had the test two weeks ago. The doctor was kind enough to bring the machine over to my apartment. Had to have this belt like thing around my waist, things monitoring my breathing through my nostrils and a clip on my finger to monitory my oxygen levels. I got the results last week and it is definitely sleep apnea. I stop breathing an average of 12 times per hour at an average of 60 seconds at a time. This is certainly why I'm always so tired, low energy, and bad concentration. We are just waiting for a formal report from a resporologist and then going to apply to the gov. for funding for a CPAP machine. I am quite looking forward to trying it and hopefully having a good night sleep for a change!!! So thats the results. Im just glad I know what I am dealing with now! Guest guest
im sure if my doc put everything together would find that i have sleep apnea and need a sleep study. However she is notorious for dragging her heals. *sigh*. My councellor is going to call her today to get the odsp thing and tell her i need some perscriptions and not to wait for the psyc eval. My councellor susspects i may have bi- poler wich makes sence to me. Some times i can be hyper like im high over the moon and i can be depressed like i hate the world. I have to restart the odsp thing again, but this time my concellor is going with me for ALL appointments and we are going to use the old forms that my doc filled out. At least this time... i have ALL the stuff odsp needs and all i need is the doctor's forms. Also the pluss side is I have a temporary drug card so i can get my medications. So its gonna be Alesse, heartburn stuff, some sort of antidepressent, actonel for bone density and who knows what elce. Anyways. I appologise for yesterday. I was depressed again. Im somewhat hyper today. I lack the energy though. Chantelle > > Hello everyone, > > Been meaning to let people know what happened with my sleep study. Guest guest
Chantelle, If you do have bipolar, antidepressants without a mood stabilizer can trigger the mania - they need to pay close attention.
