> Shan,

Well that is what the book I have on women's health says and what I

have been told by doctors, is that they are hormonal. But anyway, yes,

I meant to say that while they don't go away, they do fade and shrink.

That reply was on the day I was upset with Mike still I think, which is

why I just decided to go off line for the day. Grrr! He can be soo

frustrating! Anyway.... I digress..... I'm fine :-)

Gena :-)

OHHHHH Shan,

You and I are going through the same emotions today, our boys

are just at different ages. Gavin (8) still yells , " I love you, " as

he whizzes by but I am having such strong feelings of wanting to put

us both in a time warp. He is such a sweet kid, and since I am a

single mother to him, we are especially close. Last night I took

Gavin and a friend to see the " Nemo " movie as I had 2 free passes.

Gavin announced that they did not want to sit with me. I was crushed

and ended up sitting next to them anyway as someone took the seats

directly behind them while I was getting their popcorn.

This is also a very difficult time of year for my son who wants

to know why he doesn't have a father. (Subsequently, it is an awful

time for me.) He was out of the picture very early in his life,

although I didn't divorce him for yrs. because he was homeless and I

couldn't find him to serve the papers. I seldom hear from him.

Ironically, I have received 2 letters in 2 days from him, asking for

$. After 2 yrs. in intensive therapy for PTSD, I am not so

devastated from this that I am unable to cope, but I ate all the

leftover (insert-artery-clogging, fat laden, heart attack in a tub)

popcorn last night.

I took guardianship of a teenager last year. (I refer to him as

my prodigal son.)It's too much to get into here, but it didn't work

out and both Gavin and I were really hurt. Now I sometimes feel

guilty that I created another loss for my son to face at such a young

age.

Thanks for posting your personnal stuff. You have such a great

wit and I always read your posts first, but I knew there had to be

some deeper thoughts you might share some day. You seem to have done

a great job with . Hopefully, you can share all the new

stages of his life with him and with Mike Sr. Afterall, there's

always grandparenting when the time is right!

PS. Hope I'm not out of line, but wondering if Mike Sr. is feeling

trapped in the psycho relationship and relishes being with you

because it's more comfortable for him. Sorry this got so long. Jinx
