Guest guest
Hullo Liz, I will check that site out, too! One of the better stories regarding doctors " explaining away " symptoms is my Dr. here. She had referred some patients to psychiatric treatment when they described what turned out to be Environmental Illness. This Dr. had gotten many awards for being in the top of her class, the top resident, etc. Then she got EI from some cleanser at the Loveless clinic she worked for which just wiped her out for years. Now she sees folks in her home, one must not wear perfumed products, etc. But the good part was that she called back everyone of those misunderstood patients and apologized! Of course, I was trained since age 10 to be a " detective " regarding symptoms and, as a patient advocate, I first believe the patient until proven wrong. That has only happened three times in my whole career. is excellent and they are trained more exactly than FeldenkraisĀ® folks. However, in my view it is limited by cultural perceptions. What was brilliant about Moshe was his objectivity and ability to see beyond culture to what the BODY was really doing, rather than what each culture believes it SHOULD do! So, I guess I found Feldenkrais is more accurate and organic. AND, a lot depends on the individual teacher of course! felicidades, Felicia " The body has its own way of knowing, a knowing that has little to do with logic, and much to do with truth; little to do with control, and much to do with acceptance; little to do with division, and much to do with union.
