As I posted earlier, my husband (Gene) was just diagnoised with

stage 4 colon cancer on June 7th. We saw the oncologist

July 9th. They want to put in a port next week and start

chemo. He feels like the doctor is giving him too many

drugs. From what I am seeing on all your posts, it looks

like what everyone else is taking. He is to start on 5FU,

Leucovorin, Camptosar and a new drug Avastin. I can understand

his concern because he is not use to taking anything more

than a Tylenol so I guess he is just looking for reassurance

that the doctor is just not just overloading him with things

he does not need. Can anyone help him out to understand

what is going on with this approach at fighing colon cancer ?
