Sorry, it is not legal. I know this is part of a basic protocol of another diet.

Elaine reminds us of the disastrous effect green apples and other unripened

fruit can have on the digestive system and this applies to green coconut water.

Hi and t,

Here is what Elaine wrote about green coconut while on the kid's SCDlist:

" Green coconunut - I know nothing about a green coconut. The liquid inside a

brown coconut is OK a while after the diet starts working, but not at two

weeks. "

So, the tender green coconut juice looks like something to clear of, especially

since you are only a few weeks on the diet.

" So if I wanted to eat a pear and it was not ripe and still green,

even though I peel it, it would not be recommended until later on

in the diet? "

RoSe,

I wouldn't recommend eating unripe foods, no matter how far

along in SCD you are. I don't think our bodies were meant to eat

unripe foods.

Some pears are green. That doesn't mean that they are unripe.

Ripe pears will be soft and juicy, not hard regardless of their skin

color.

Hi Carol,

To clarify: green, ripe apples are legal. Such as Granny

Apples.

Green unripe apples are not.
