Guest guest
I feel for you because I know when Im feeding Austin and hes eating these stomach turning meals (to me anyway) and hes eating them without a problem I think about the parents that have trouble getting their children to eat it (understandably so). The diet is hard enough to get use to but to have the added stress of your child not wanting to eat has to be stressful at times. Hang in there, you'll find something that she likes for snack and just stick with it. Good Luck!..........Tammy

Guest guest
I asked the dietician if we could split a meal and let her have a morning snack. She said to give it a try... it worked!! So her routine is... meal, snack (1/2 meal), meal, snack, meal. Cammie, not to question what you said because obviously you are alot more experienced at this than I am....but from what you said, isnt that just splitting up the way you feed her? Thats different from COMBINING snacks which is how I took the question. I would think combining snacks would not be a good idea. but like you said, everyone's child is different and so are the dieticians.....Tammy
Guest guest
Giving 1/2 a meal is a lot different than giving a meal PLUS a snack at the same time. Think about it...... if you give a snack with the meal, you are raising calories.... and this raises carbohydrates. That's the risk. If you give too many carbohydrates, the body thinks....Great, no need to burn fat for energy, I have enough carbs. This is the danger zone.
