Guest guest
Dear I wonder if my situation is similar to yours. I am currently pregnant with twins 8wks and pregnant in my UU and also in my non communicating side. Both uterus are very similar in sizes. Now I know you are UD but do you know if both your uteruses are similar in size. Do you have 1 cervix and 1 vagina too? I really look forward to hearing from you. I am terrified about this pregnancy and the risks it carries. Janine high risk OB needed for UD? Hi everyone, This is my first posting, so please excuse any abb. mistakes:) I have UD and was pregnant with my DS, now 15 mos, when my water suddenly broke in the hospital lobby en route to our tour. (33w0d) Now,surprise, pregnant in the other uterus, 12w1d. My question(s): I did not have a high risk OB with my son and in retrospect, think i was not monitored closely enough. She treated my preganancy like it was normal (only 8 and 18 wk Ultrasounds). Now, I have moved to a different state and found a really nice OB who comes with great recommendations, but he is young and even says he has never had a UD pt of his own, much less one who is pregnant in the contra uterus. SO...thoughts on high risk OB? He said we'll do Ultrasounds every 6 weeks until 26 weeks, then every 4 or more often as needed to eval my cervical length. He said that they do not use home monitoring here (of note, with my DS, I had no idea I was having contractions 2- 3 min apart!). Also, he mentioned cerclage, and from what I can find there is risk, but the earlier the better? Oh, and bedrest in 8 weeks...I will only be 20w! How do you take care of a 17mos old?? Thanks SO much for any responses...I am a nervous wreck and every twitch is causing much anxiety.
