ISAC: Immune System Activation of Coagulation

This is an expermental (but increasingly used) test for CFIDS and FM.

Over 90% are reporting hypercoagulation results (versus < 0.5%

expected in the normal population).

Since RA and CFIDS both respond to antibiotics also, and fibrin

deposits in joints may be a contributing factor to RA...

Typically a CFIDS person with hypercoagulation has a SED of 0-4

(usually ignored by MDs). The specific tests are:

* Fibrinogen

* Thrombin / Antithrombin Complexes

* Soluble Fibrin Monomer

* CD62

* CD62P + ADP

* Platelet Activation

* Prothrombin Fragment 1+2
