Re: high risk OB needed for UD?

Hi ,

My doctors still can't agree if I am UD or BU, (I have 2 uteri but

there is some debate over whether I have 1 or 2 cervix) so I will

answer your question based on my experience. I did see an OB and a

Perinatologist for my daughter (now 18 months old) and my current

pregnancy (30 weeks). I see them both every 3 weeks and have

ultrasounds to check my cervix. I was not put on bedrest for either

pregnancy. My second pregnancy is in the same uterus as the first so

we differ there. I did not have a cerclage with either pregnancy

either. If there is a peri in your area, you may want to consider

seeing him or her for extra reassurance. I know it helps to hear my

cervix isn't shortening every 3 weeks. I delivered my 18 month old

at 35 weeks and they expect the same for this pregnancy. Good luck

and if you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Hi ,

Thanks for your response. I think I may ask about seeing a

perinatologist, at least for reassurance sake.

Best of luck with baby #2!
