Guest guest
Due to the ongoing frustration caused by Custom Probiotics, I have removed it from the pecanbread.com website. This does not mean that those of you who already own these products should stop using them. I am just no longer recommending that people order from CP due to the hassles and coersion that goes on during phone orders. I have removed CP from all pecanbread.com webpages. The goat yogurt directions have been changed to reflect the measurements of ProGurt needed to make the goat yogurt. I am sorry that it had to come to this, but I cannot support the continual harrassment of SCDers who call to order products from CP. Guest guest
Hi Jody, I have " no adgendas, etc " regarding where anyone gets their probiotics. Nevertheless, I think it is the right thing to do to remove CP from PecanBread. If folks on the scd for a bit (who aren't going through the " overwhelming " stage, lol) feel okay ordering stuff from there, so be it. But for newbies, it can really be discouraging.......or worse. I've posted this here before awhile back, but the last time I called CP for acidophilus powder he got very rude with me because I wouldn't get the strain that he wanted me to get. He actually hung up on me. My husband called back about 15 minutes later, and got it with no problem so I thought it was a " woman " issue with him, lol. BUT, and I'm sorry to say this, but I began to wonder..........I mean, if this guy is sooooo passionate about his " cause " , then how do I REALLY KNOW what is actually IN the jar he is sending to me? You know what I mean? Besides, if PecanBread is " endorcing " CP, then how does a newbie feel when CP trashes the scd, and he has done so on the phone with me. For a newbie, it could easily lead them astray. Kirkman Labs has always had a great attitude when working with me, and now you have listed this new source (new to me, heehee) for scd'ers to go to. As long as there are " scd friendly " sources, who realize that what we (IBD'ers, etc) are putting into our guts can really harm us if we're not very careful, then I'd rather support them. Jody, you and all the " helpers " at PecanBread are wonderful folks! Thank you for all you do. I too, am so very sorry that this had to happen, but you have made the right decision. love, ' scd 6 1/2 months > > Due to the ongoing frustration caused by Custom Probiotics, I > have removed it from the pecanbread.com website. > > This does not mean that those of you who already own these > products should stop using them. Guest guest
See, I've been somewhat concerned about what he's sold to me as well - though he never tried to sell me anything other than the acidophilus powder, I really didn't see any results from it. When I switched, I saw immediate results and actually 'feel' results when I take it myself. CP acidophilus did nothing for me when I took it. That's not to say it's not a viable product or doesn't help people since we can't 'see' what is going on in our bodies, but the doubt is still in my head and I can't shake it. I mean, theoretically, if he wanted to push another product, he could send me something with inert ingredients, waiting for me to call and complain that it wasn't helping just to sell me his preferred product... ok, I'm getting in to conspiracy theories here, but I tell you after what I've heard he's said to people on the phone, it just makes me paranoid.
