Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I occassionaly post and constantly lurk on this bulletin board. After reading a few comments on surgeries and other difficulties our children face I felt the need to comment. My daughter has been through 4 implant surgeries. 1 failure, 1 implant, 1 explant, 1 implant. It is all worth it. Ever since she was 9 weeks old doctors have been in her life. There have been the HA fittings, the sound booth tests, the CI screenings, the surgery failures, the infections, the pic lines, the sicknesses, the defective CI, the re-implant. But its all worth it. Dont forget about the molds, the loss of her voice, the Hickman line, the antibiotics, the antiviruls, the facial paralysis, the vertigo, fifth's disease, the rotovirus... ....the joy of her telling me she loves me. It is all worth it. She recently turned 3 and loves to hear.
