Thank you for sharing your experiences with two physicians and the

vital information re Amiodarone. I have just been put on

Amiodarone about 4 weeks ago, because my card. said that it is the

only drug left for me to take since I have a low heart rate

generally and low blood pressure as well as sick sinus syndrome.

I must tell you that I have found the drug to be very effective even

though I am very afraid of the consequences.

I did have some minor symptoms at first which I think I can cope

with but, one kind of scared me when I suddenly was very cold while

in bed last week and couldn't warm up. I had to sit up in an easy

chair and cover myself. After an hour I was warmer and I was able to

lie down again and comfortably.

This is just a guess, I also had had splenda that eve. in ice cream

and I suspect that there was some kind of interaction between the

drug and splenda and somehow diminished my thyroid function.
