Actually, I think that the surgeon likely WOULD make time for you to sit down

and ask all your questions. At the very least, I'm sure he would be willing to

spend time with you on the phone.

I would call his office and ask if it's possible to have a brief appointment

with the surgeon in the days before the surgery, if necessary. This will give

you time to gather your thoughts - and your

questions - and to decide if there's anything you still want to know as the big

day approaches.

I don't think this is at all unreasonable; my surgeon actually gave me his home

number in case I needed to speak to him over the weekend before my TT.
