Hi Everyone --

Thanks for all of the advice on the SU resection surgery! I have

another question for you:

****Are there any SU's out there who opted NOT to have the surgery

and went on to have successful pregnancies? If so, did you have

miscarriages before you conceived and how early? ****

After having the hernia surgery on Monday, I really don't want to go

through with the resection surgery scheduled for Jan. 5. :o( I

also don't want to postpone it --if I decide to do it I want to get

it over with.

I'd really appreciate to hear from you!

Thanks

Hello!

I am an SU and I just gave birth naturally to a 7lb1oz girl on Oct 12, 2004

at home. I had regular visits with two midwifes and also a peri. I had a

miscarriage in 1999 at almost three months along. After that, I was to

scared to try for a while. I under went lots of tests, but oddly enough they

never told me I had an MA. It wasn't until I had a cyst on my left ovary

burst that they did an indepth ultrasound. Then I had the hsg scan. A 3d

ultrasound and the works. I chose not to have the surgery. I got pregnant

3months later and had a " normal " pregnancy. I did have some bleeding a long

the way. At 33 weeks they told me she was breech. I went to the chiropractor

and did the webster tech. and she turned. A lot of people thought me crazy

to have my baby at home, but I don't like doctors. Both the midwife's are

familiar with MA's and have had previous clients that gave birth with MA's.

Hi

I have had two children from my wierd uterus, I'm Su and BU I have

had 2 miscarriages both around the 6/7 week mark. I'm getting

resected in 11 days. I don't blame you for not wanting two surgeries

so close together. But then again if you just do it then its done

and over with. Then you can just recoperate and enjoy the knowledge

of a roomy comfy uterus for you sweet future babe.

Lots of hugs and well holiday wishes!!!

Hi ,

I have a septated uterus. But I am not sure of the size of the

septum.I have a 5 year old son.I had a normal almost uneventful

pregnancy with him.I carried him to 39 weeks.I didnt even know about

the septum when I was pg with him.We found out about the septum

during the c-section.But I remember my doctor had mentioned it is a

small septum. The septum was forgotten and we ttc again for our 2nd

child in oct 2003.But unfortunately I miscarried .We lost the baby

at 6.5 weeks. So we think we lost the baby due to the septum.

Its almost a year now since I miscarried. We will be ttc soon.

I have decided to give it one more try before going for the

resection surgery since I have carried one baby to term.I know I am

taking a risk with a septum in place. But I am so confused and scared

of the surgery,at the same time scared to miscarry again.

Good Luck with your decision.Let us know what ever you decide.
