How long was he on the Flagyl? Was he on Diflucan

simultaneously?

Culturelle works very well for Clostridia. Kirkman sells 80 mg Culturelle

that is refrigerated (and therefore has more potency). I know it's not SCD

legal (because it contains inulin), but many families who are doing SCD

have used Culturelle to fight Clostridia with good results (I've read about

this on various lists).

I had tested for C diff and was negative, but they found something else

that they treated with a strong dose of GSE (grapefruit seed extract). They

told me if he had tested positive for c diff they would have treated the same

way.. and it's legal on scd. For him being 4 yrs old they told me 10 drops 2x a

day for 10 days - and for us (adults) 30 drops 2x a day for 45 days.

My son Robbie is 12, ASD, and has been on the SCD since July, 2004 -

we are seeing great things. He has struggled with Clostridia

bacteria for many years altho we had it under control (we thought)

for the last 2 until we started SCD. We did an Organic Acid Test in

Hi Jody,

Robbie was on both Flagyl and Diflucan for 10 days, ending 11/20. I

did the urine OATS on 12/13 and it increased that fast.

You mentioned that you are going to be speaking to Dr.

Bradstreet, right?

He should have some ideas for you on why the clostridia would

go up during a course of Flagyl.

Hi ,

Normally when people report having trouble with Clostridia they

report symptoms of some kind.

Is it possible that the high markers are from good bacteria or from

something else (supplements...?)

Are you taking probiotics or yogurt?

Is he eating a lot of fruit? That might explain the arabinose.

The tartaric increase can come from die-off. Was it a urine test?

Or maybe they mixed up your results - it unfortunately does happen.

He sounds to be do very well for some who should be so sick

(according to those test results.)
