Guest guest
Hi - Once again, I'm asking your help. My new gastroenterologist (sp?) prescribed amoxicillan, biaxan, and prilosec for the H. Pylori that I was diagnosed with back in May. After a couple of days, I could hardly leave the bathroom. Now, he wants to wait a week, then have me substitute flaginol (I may have the wrong spelling). Apparently this may be a problem even with the dif antibiotic, he said, because they all cause diarrhea. I asked him if it was the destruction of the good flora in the intestine by the antibiotic that causes the diarrhea, but he told me that it wasn't so. I am particularly concerned because I've had this so long, and he was almost going to let it go untreated!! When I asked if the bacteria can become resistent to the antibiotic, he agreed that that is a concern. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking that using a good probiotic would be a good idea. Thanks everyone - Lyn _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
