I had called my cardio and he wanted to see me this morning at 10 AM. He checked me out and said that any connection between the chronic pain in my shoulder and my AFIB episodes was purely coincidental. I was disappointed, but then I remembered how much more difficult this problem is to manage for many folks. I really have no reason to complain. ********************** Hi , glad to hear your doing better. I was waiting for you to see your doctor because my shoulder was killing me too at the same time. I assumed it was tendonitous but the pain was so bad I could not lift my arm up all the way. Im glad there is no connection...lol I was thinking great i can't even get a pain and it affects the afib...lol Now that im on the Sotalol I can't take advil and tylenol just doesn't cut it with that kind of pain. a in Massachusetts NSR Sotalol 80 x 2 Warfarin

I then asked the pharmacist and he said I could take Advil or Aleve but not every day because it would thin my blood too much. Also, ibuprofen could have an affect on blood pressure, for it diminishes the affect of the beta blocker. Tylenol does not help my pain at all. I have fibromyalgia and nothing seems to work but Advil or Aleve. I realize that you are now on warfarin and I don't know if NSAID's are completely contraindicated or if you can take them every once in a while. I just recently found out that even Tylenol can thin your blood. Loretta > > ++++++++++++++ My doctor and the pharmacist told me not to take Advil or any drug that controls inflammation. I was told this when I started the Warfarin. If I pushed the issue maybe I would be allowed to take it once in a while but IM not sure.
