Guest guest
- started the special day pre-school at the age of three, no mamma (for which he was very very sad for weeks) and a health aide/interpreter. Prior to that though he had been at the Child Development Center from the time he was discharged from the NICU and also the DHH Infant Program in our area - which met once a week - but all of those were with Momma. ) Let me tell you - ambulatory (with a walker) and with a trach and g-tube had the whole district pretty alarmed. A majority of the high medical involvement kiddos are in wheelchairs...... and the trach/airway connection also alarms them. had his trach for swallowing issues (prevention of aspiration) - but many of the children our district was familiar with had them for breathing issues - which is a whole different level of serious. best- yuka Re: Nursing issues with school (sorry-long) > Yuka, just curious--at what age did start school?
