Guest guest
The " Osterizer " that I bought was just under $40. It has a black base and a glass container and 12 speeds. They also had the same blender, but without the added food chopper attachment in white for just under $30. I think that one might have been only 6 speeds, but it was also 450 watts. I guess that was why I took a peek at the other food choppers to see if it was worth the $10 for the attachment (especially with the 450 watts). I'd count my smoothies as 3-4 points, depending on how much fruit. I've only put in 1 cup of strawberries. What liquid do you add for your smoothies, if any? Just fruit? Water? > / Smoothie Maker > > > , > Yay! I'm so glad you are happy with your smoothies! I love them. I'm > wondering how you're going to count points for them... Guest guest
A really good, 0 point smoothie is one I make: Ice cold coffee from that morning (I make enough extra for this) 1 serving non dairy creamer (15 cal) Davinci syrup, sugar free...enough to make it nice and sweet. Another way I do it is to use protein powder (which is 2 points per serving) to get my extra protein in. Same way. I use Whey Fit powder from www.vitalady.com the peanut butter and chocolate flavor. It actually comes out tasting like a frappucino. Not as rich as the 6 point Starbucks one, but close enough! I like the chocolate or the hazelnut sugar free syrup. ~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~' Tory Klementsen, MCP A+ Career and Technology Educator www.teechur.com www.msteechur.com -The successful person will do the things that the unsuccessful person will not. > / Smoothie Maker > > > , > Yay!
