Guest guest
Any man who would even suggest that he would be less interested in you if you became more healthy is not worth your time. What could possibly motivate him to feel that way? I completely understand loving you the way you are, but he had better support ( note I did not say force, needle, humiliate etc) you in your efforts to be healthier. Jx. men? okay here's another guy question. tonight i was with a guy who really likes me the way my body is now. what do i do now? this is coming from him, i'm not imagining it. I'm at a loss, I've always heard that some men like big women but... any suggestions? tammy d.
Guest guest
-He didn't suggest that he wouldn't like me if I was thinner, just an observation was made that he liked big women. Maybe it is a self esteem issue for him that he thinks he's not good enough for thinner ones? I don't know. If we get to a point where it seems necessary I'll discuss it with him but right now, we're just getting together and it may go nowhere. thanks tammy d. -- In weightlossbuddies2 , " Jinx A. Guest guest
-Tammy, Tammy, Tammy, What do you mean what do you do now?????? You need to be happy with yourself. If he told you he would like you better with hairy legs and bald would you listen???? Of course not!!!! Your weight and body is not (I repeat IS NOT) about him. If he likes you, he'll like you regardless of your body, so you make it look the way you want it too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Meaghan-- In weightlossbuddies2 , " tammy d. Guest guest
-okay I worded that wrong I think, it really was sort of rhetorical, I just wanted some input. He didn't say he would not like me if I was thinner. And as for the hairy legs... I might, I hate shaving my legs, lol. tammy d. -- In weightlossbuddies2 , " Meaghan " <meaghandionne@y...> wrote: > -Tammy, Tammy, Tammy, What do you mean what do you do now?????? Guest guest
-force feeding me, lol. that would be horrible. Although I do seriously remember seeing something about that on a talk show onetime. At the moment it's very casual, so I'm not to worried about it. Besides this comment wasn't directed at me personally just in general during a conversation. tammy d. -- In weightlossbuddies2 , " Kiti " <texaskiti@m...> wrote: > > > Tammy is this guy someone your really serious about or just someone your dating? Guest guest
Tammy, I struggle with this one all the time. Chuck likes big women, really big women! And it is always a fear that is in the back of my mind that he won't be attracted to me as a get smaller. I wish I knew an answer to this one. All I can say is that I try really hard not to worry about it too much and focus on myself and getting healthy, but its hard. I think it is an excuse I've used in the past when I would start losing weight, but this time I have really decided to do this for me and hope he'll still want me when I'm thinner! Nicci men? okay here's another guy question. tonight i was with a guy who really likes me the way my body is now. what do i do now? this is coming from him, i'm not imagining it. Guest guest
Well, we don't loose weight for men - we have to do it for ourselves...so why should we NOT loose weight for men? It's all about what you want Tammy. But, not that I think it would happen...but would that be too cool if we had at least one guy under our belts tht broke up with us becuase we looked too good? LOL! I do think that guys, when they want to keep us would preffer us to be 'not perfect' or draw attention to ourselves by looking too good...less worries of compition :-) Ang > okay here's another guy question. tonight i was with a guy who > really likes me the way my body is now. what do i do now? this is > coming from him, i'm not imagining it. Guest guest
As an old married guy (20 years in July), I know there are things that I do for my wife... and vice versa. But our relationship isn't based on a particular look. She was fine with me during my large years, although she was always concerned for my health, and now she is happy because of the health change. If you make a change, whether it's going down or up... it shouldn't adversly effect the relationship. Yes, physical attraction is part of any relationship, but if that is the foundation of the relationship, it won't last. So if you are losing weight and exercising to improve your health... keep on doing it! If he likes it, great... if not, he isn't the right guy anyway. Good Luck. > okay here's another guy question. tonight i was with a guy who > really likes me the way my body is now. what do i do now? this is > coming from him, i'm not imagining it. Guest guest
Tammy, I know this has already been replied to. Sorry I'm so late. Just wanted to say what the others said basically. I'd say thanks, that's sweet but it's about more than just size, it's about health. I have had to explain that to my husband who always says I look fine. I told him I love you for loving me the way I am but it's not just about what size I'm wearing! I was not healthy at 284, I didn't feel good, couldn't breath very well, blood pressure was borderline, I couldn't do as much, I hurt. If he truly cares about you he will want what's best for you and support you. You are doing this for you, nobody else.
