Guest guest
Sandy I love that phrase - dessert mentality! And I really do know what you mean by it - the 'finish' of a meal. For me this is probably a combo of 1) eating too fast (not letting satisfaction register) and 2) old desire to have a 'sweet' come heck or high water! (diet mentality/restriction bells ringing big time). I so like the fresh fruit when I find it that I select it FIRST, before I even eat any entrees. But that doesn't mean that I won't 'add' a dessert if I want that after too ;-) ehugs, Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > Katcha, I have this dessert mentality and I don't feel like the meal is > over/complete until I have dessert. Yesterday at the buffet I was wanting > dessert, got one I didn't really care for(but ate it). After I got home I > thought why didn't I have some of the fresh fruit. Next time. Guest guest
My two cents worth on this whole discussion is that yes, fruit can sometimes fill that urge for sweets, and I like fruit, but if I want a dessert, I'm going to eat it FIRST so I know my hunger won't be past before I get it. I am so done with the clean your plate club in order to " earn " dessert!
