Guest guest
Ang, Who approached you????? Was it a close friend or family????? That's a tough question. Personally, I would do that long before I carried a baby for someone. It wouldn't matter how much I loved the person, once that baby kicked me and I heard his heartbeat, or felt the hickups, he'd be all mine!!!!! Guest guest
-Kiti, Did you mean to say his and his boyfriends????....or hers and her boyfriend??? If you did mean them both as male how would it be both of their baby????? Only one of there little guys would fertilize that egg!!!! Anyway, I couldn't do it. For awhile we thought my sister wasn't going to be able to carry a baby to term....she has three now though-smile. She wanted me to carry their baby but there was no way. I love her and would do almost anything for her, but I would never be able to give that baby up even if it wasn't my egg or sperm. Guest guest
Jinx, ya I think that is what they will end up doing. Right now even though it would be hard emotionally to let a child go, I frankly wouldn't give one to them. They don't have the most stable relationship. They have been together a bit over a year now, and I hope they stay together, they are GOOD together. But they need more work on their relationship between each other before adding a baby. And this is a subject they both do agree with me on. Also heck, I " m 43 yrs old I'm not sure my body would want to do that again! LOLKitiFrom: Jinx A. Guest guest
--That be so weird not knowing which one was the actual dad by blood. I can't even handle an unwrapped present I'd have to find out!!!!!! It doesn't seem safe though to take an egg from his sister and then possibly have his sperm. Could have big problems there. They'de be better off with your egg and one of their sperm, but since you're not going to do it I guess it doesn't matter. I would not be able to let go of that baby either. Guest guest
A complete strange actually. I had thought about it years back and couldn't decide if it was morally ok. I think it is a GREAT thing to do for someone else - like you said, there is no wy I could cary a child and give him/her to it's rightful parents, even it if was someone elses egg and sprerm...to late, I'd already love them. Guest guest
My 2 cents worth...........Just because a couple has had the money to pay for every possible way to try to have a child DOES NOT necessarily mean they will be great parents. I met my son's birth mother and asked her everything I thought he'd want to know (things like what was your favorite subject in school, did you play an instrument, etc.). I think I'm a great mom but I stopped trying short of invitro. Jx. Re: Jen good god good/egg donation A complete strange actually. I had thought about it years back and couldn't decide if it was morally ok. I think it is a GREAT thing to do for someone else - like you said, there is no wy I could cary a child and give him/her to it's rightful parents, even it if was someone elses egg and sprerm...to late, I'd already love them. But the eggs. I don;t know if that would be like I'd have a child out there somewhere fathered by someone else...or 12 of them....I don't know. I'm sure if peopel wre to go to such great extent, try so long and spend so much trying, that they would be great parents (one would believe), but I just can't help wondering. I mean if I did I'd have this book size letter all written out - every piece of family hisotry I could remember - everything all ready to be given to the pobssible recievers 'just incase' and would probably for the rest of my life be dangleing around the phone hopping for a little one to call and say " are you my mom?
