Guest guest
Chad, I don't know about ANA. I just wanted to say I'm sorry that you have to go through this, but it's great they found something that may have caused her hearing loss and that her language is good, that will help a lot as far as accomidating for her loss. I hope her aids are a big help. Sensorineural Hearing Loss & Positive ANA Screen Test My 5 yr old daughter has moderate to profound sensorineural hearing loss and just got her hearing aids last week. Our doctor ordered a lot of blood tests and one of the tests that came back positive was the ANA (Anti-Nuclear Antibody) screen. I have done a little bit of research on the internet today on ANA screen and a lot of articles came up on Sudden Sensorneural Hearing Loss and treatment with corticosteroids. We do not know how she lost her hearing and we think it has been recent because of very good speech development. Does anyone have any information on the ANA screen and sensorineural hearing loss? Has anyone read about responsiveness to corticosteroid treatment? Thank you. Chad
