Yes--this can be frustrating

Over the last, 34 mos-I have relied mostly on the Keto planner

Let me explain--if the food was not listed on the planner ( M.

hotdogs-for example)--I would try to get more exact numbers from the company,

stating

that my daughter was on the Keto Diet and loved your products, but needed more

exact numbers for her to eat the foods

Sometimes you could get better figures

Otherwise I compared the labels and if they were similar with the planner and

label, I always went with the higher numbers, higher carbs especially, most

usually the Keto planner gave the higher numbers

Remember, the FDA says anything under 1 gm (.99) can be listed as 0 grams--a

very big variant for our kids

I know this meant less food for my daughter, but the first two years, were as

strict as I could make it--

Even the meal planners are not the exact

The food values differ with the different programs Too!!

Therefore I really do not think it is wrong to go by the labels, especially

if the food is not listed on the planner

The most important thing is to read the labels, & stick to the same way of

calculating the meals

Over the years, we have all found out that the different Keto Centers and

Dietitians even vary the diet

So have faith in yourself--you are doing the best for your child--you are

giving her a chance to be seizure free or less seizures

Best to you

Sandi
