It takes about 3-4 weeks for Paxil to even out in your blood stream.

I was very " jittery " for the first couple of weeks I started it (I

too switched from Zoloft). If you can handle it for a couple of

weeks, it then works well. I'd suggest to your doctor a .5 mg

sublingual prescription of Ativan to take on demand for anxiety.

Good luck and good health.

As to your question about the burning sensation, the answer is no.

I've not encountered that problem.

Hot flashes: most definitely. Don't know if they are hormone

related or thyroid related or afib or anxiety related. Sorry, I

can't help you on this one.

Have you had your thyroid levels checked? I was DX'd with

hypothyroidism when I learned I had afib.

Love your posts girl.

Have you ever experienced any symptoms of a

burning sensation in the back of your throat or a sudden burst of hot

flash and

anxiety. I have only been introducing the paxil for about a week. The

first

time I tried I stopped. I am trying to work through it this time and

stick with

it. I can feel when I go into AF and the symptoms besides the burning

sensation

if very similar to the onslaught of AF.
