I've been on Dofetilide since October of 2000 - and no dizzy spells. No

side effects at all.

Ed - when is the last time you had an ECG? You might suggest one and have your

cardio make sure your QT times are ok (I think that's what I want to say)... if

they are too far apart that could potentially make you light headed.. and it's

one of the potential side effects of dofetilide (not lightheadedness... but

extended QT times). Or maybe your heart beat is too slow? I know on 750 mcg

per day, my resting heart rate is in the mid 40s.. that's really slow, but so

far has not caused me any issues at all. I've only been on this drug since

mid-feb of this year.

Hi, My name is Ron age 63 April 18 and new to this support group.

Have had an ablation procedure 11/18/03 which has helped a little but

still go into AFIB I have been on sotalol since 11/18 but has not

helped. My Electophysiologist warned me at 1st ablation it may take

two to stop the AFIB so waiting for a date to have ablation done

again. Have not tried Dofetilide but have been on

Digoxin, atenolol, and amiodarone and none have helped over the long

run. You say that you have been on Dofetilide for two years, did this

stop your AFIB? Thanks.

Hi, Ron,

If you go to our web site www.groups.yahoo.com/group/afibsupport and

click on Database on the left hand side of the page, you will find a

link to a collection of results group members have had with

dofetilide. It doesn't work for everyone, but some people have had

very good results with it.
