Guest guest
Personally, I eat then exercise. but that's just the way my schedule is. I get home around 7 and haven't eaten since lunch, so I'm hungry then. Some people eat first because exercising later keeps them from sleeping well. I think it's just whatever works for you. It couldn't hurt to try both ways and see which one suits you best. Jon > in your honest opinions, is it better to eat first, then exercise, or > exercise then eat. Guest guest
I have hear that it is better to exercise before you eat. The reason being is that the exercise will get your metabolism going so when you eat after you metabolise the meal quicker and more efficiently. That is just what I ahve heard though. Guest guest
Well....for some of us....exercise at any time is better than NO exercise. lol I agree, I've read many different places that exercising before you eat boosts the metabolism. I still say...any exercise, any time, is the best. Lyn Re: YOUR OPINIONS NEEDED I have hear that it is better to exercise before you eat. But if I work out with no food on my stomach I feel weak. So I say have a healthy, dense snack that is low in points and then work out before dinner. Make dinner and relax. My Mom is the opposite -- she feels bloated and lethargic if she exercises soon after eating. Donna in Surrey B.C. Canada 285.2 / 159.0 / 159.0 Donna.Hrynkiw@... Guest guest
I sort of feel like that too, the dinner before my walk, sometimes has me about a mile from home and thinking " dern, my potty is a LOOOOOOOONG way away.. " LOL Not a comfortable feeling, to say the least! Bev > > YOUR OPINIONS NEEDED > > > > > > in your honest opinions, is it better to eat first, then exercise, or > > exercise then eat. Guest guest
According to my favorite Radio Talk Show Doctor......Doctor Zorba Paster MD " On Your Health " on public radio. Walking before you eat is better, you will feel good, want to consume less calories and also up your calorie burn of the foods you eat after your walk. Now if you were talking about a nice stroll through the park that is best after eating. You can get lightheaded if you excersise hard and then eat a full meal since your blood is concentrated in the stomach area as the foods are digested and your blood is carrying away the nutrients. It helps me set up my eating plan - that way I can be sure to get my exercise points in and *then* eat them (although often I do not eat them).
