No, it isn't income based. And they have a very well written lease, which even goes so far as to say that even if I DIE the terms of the lease (read=$$) must be fulfilled. So, if I die, they will go after my "estate" to collect the rest of the $ for the year. Nice, huh? But I had no choice, it was the only place I could get into and (at the time) afford. HOWEVER, they can kick me out at any time with NO reason. I do NOT understand HOW and WHY he is getting away with ANY of it. I really don't.
