Guest guest
I wonder if I should take more T3 according to symptoms at the time. I took less T3 today because I'd been feeling hyper, but now I feel exhausted, heart palps, teeth grinding. Wondering if I should take a little T3 now even though it's evening ? You can (especially when increasing dose) decide whether or not to take your dose at a normal time, leave it till later, or skip it. Pulse and temperature are a good clue on that one. Be careful though if you decide to increase for an odd " busy day " as you can end up depleting cortisol and dropping temperature instead. I spent 10 years confusing " hyper " with " more thhyroid than my body can cope with " , Nick
Guest guest
Nick,I'm not sure what you mean by this. You were confusing feeling hyper with what? You took more thyroid?Elyse I spent 10 years confusing " hyper " with " more thhyroid than my body can cope with " ,

For me " too much thyroid " gave me low cortisol symptoms. Fast heartbeat, missing heart beats and shaky hands but with a LOW temperature still. That was " more thyroid than I could tolerate " but not hyperthyroid. The low temperature is the marker there. Hyper should have a high temperature Nick
Guest guest
I always wondered if one is supposed to take extra t3 when we're very busy, say skiing that day or something. Does the body make more t3 when you're very physically active? Thanks, Kathleen > Be careful though if you decide to increase for an odd " busy day " as > you can end up depleting cortisol and dropping temperature instead. > > I spent 10 years confusing " hyper " with " more thhyroid than my body > can cope with " , > > Nick >
Guest guest
I have been experimenting wiht just that thought. I don;t think there has EVER been any studies done on this but it certainly makes sense to me. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/

Does the body make more t3 when you're very physically active? In terms on " busy " I am not sure. I used to take an extra dose of natural when I had a very long day and have done that with T3 as well, If I need to do a 6 hour drive through the evening after working a long day I will increase one of my afternoon doses and this seems to keep me alert and functioning better at a time I would normally be running down. I think partly that depends on being physically active enough to be producing enough cortisol to cope with the extra. As far as I know exercising and physical activity stimulate cortisol production?? If I am right about this it means you would be able to utilise beneficially more T3 when you are active than when you are having a quiet day Nick
