Guest guest
I can't believe it! I am still in shock. I was due on Sunday and last night I woke up with the worst stomach ache and I started thinking. So I took my monthly (haha) HPT and this time it was POSITIVE! I already went for the blood HCG test at my RE's. We were going to set up infertility testing this month because it's been 9 months since my resection and she was concerned I was not preg yet. MY OPK also broke this month right after I ovulated. Maybe it was a sign that I won't need it any more. I had 3 m/c's before the resection so I am kind of skeptical as to this pregnancy 'sticking' but I hope it does. There is no spotting so I am hopeful. I have 2 more blood tests and an ultrasound before I am passed off to my OB. I am kind of nervous. I have a slight pulling feeling on my left side up by my hip I hope it's nothing. Also I just started taking .12mg of xanax about 2-3 times a week this month. I mentioned this to my RE and she said nothing so I assume it is fine. Funny. because I had trouble getting preg the 3rd time and I had just started on the xanax that month also. I wonder if there is a connection. Maybe my sister is now my angel watching over me and she will bring me this baby. Liz _________________________________________________________________ Get ready for school! Guest guest
I think I'm 4 weeks pregnant. I feel woozy, and some heartburn which I never have. I'm seeing my ob-gyn today and I'm going to see if she recommends a RE. If she doesn't recommend one I will find my own. I live an hour southeast of Buffalo, NY so if you happen to have any names I'd appreciate it. I haven't really heard of anyone on this board in the Buffalo area. How far along are you? HPT+++++ > Congrats!!!! I guess we can be preg buddies. I am going to need the support > and I am sure you are too. How are you feeling? Do you know how far along > you are? Have you gone to your RE yet? This is very exciting. Keep me > updated! - Liz > > _________________________________________________________________ > Get ready for school! Guest guest
, I am 4 wks 5 days so we are really close. I don't think you need to see and RE either. An RE will only see you up to the 6-8 week point. After that you go to either an OB or and Peri. You should ask for 3 BPTs if you are uptight and an ultrasound at 6wks. That is all the RE will do for you so you can stay at your Ob and have it done with her. RE's only care about getting you Preg and staying that way through the first 8wks. The ob will do the rest. I am going to an Ob in wk 8 if all goes well. I am still very anxious that something will go wrong. I am trying to stay calm and know what ever happens, happens and there is nothing I can do. - Liz _________________________________________________________________ Don’t just search. Find. Guest guest
Liz, I had my ob appt. yesterday and she is going to see me next month and send me for an ultrasound. She is going to give me a list of high-risk peri's at that time. My ob no longer delivers babies which is good because I want a specialist to deliver me anyway. She said she probably would only see me one more time during my pregnancy, and I would just deal with the peri. When I first started seeing this ob she said she has delivered people with uterine anomalies before so I'm glad she doesn't do babies anymore because I didn't want to offend her by wanting to have a peri deliver me. When is it " ok " to start telling people you're pregnant? I of course told our families but I work as an RN and I don't want to lift patients or take care of the infectious ones and I don't want my co-workers to think I'm being lazy. I know it is early and anything can happen, but the way I look at it, I'm gonna need support either way. Let me know you're opinion. Congratulations to you and it will be fun keeping in touch every step of the way. Re: HPT+++++ , I am 4 wks 5 days so we are really close. I don't think you need to see and RE either. Guest guest
Liz, I new to all this, what is a BPT? I feel like an idiot, being a nurse and all but I'm a critical care nurse. Babies and pregnancy is not my specialty. Thanks. Re: HPT+++++ , I am 4 wks 5 days so we are really close. I don't think you need to see and RE either. Guest guest
Liz, My MA is uterus didelphys. Which initially scared me but from what I've learned on this site is UD handles pregnancy well and has a high chance of a positive pregnancy outcome. I going to insist the peri checks my cervix frequently, from what I recall from other peoples experiences they start to check the cervix around 12 weeks, and every so often after that. I want to make sure I get a cerclage if needed before I have a chance to have a mc due to incompetent cervix. I have a positive attitude because I haven't had any problems previously with my UD, my periods are regular, not too painful etc. I was pretty sure I would have fertility issues but thankfully I didn't. Let's hope and pray this works out for both of us. HPT+++++ , My husband and I are going to tell our family only after we have an ultrasound and see a heart beat. That s/b around 8 wks. Once a h/b is heard the chance of a m/c goes down to 5%. I have had 3 m/c and it is too hard to have to deal with families' emotions and my own when that happens. We are going to tell others after the 12 wk mark. That is just our personal preference. If you work with sick people and as a nurse I'm sure you do. I would let your boss and co-workers know asap. You don't want to be put in a bad situation because you are preg. You and your baby come first and you don't want to get sick or injured on the job. I don't remember your MA. Mine was a septum. I was told I don't have to go to a peri. I am glad you are happy with your Dr.'s care. I had my 2nd BPT which is a Blood Preg Test (as opposed to a HPT Home Preg Test). My first was a reading of 650 which I was told was very good for 18 dpo (days past ovulation). I hope that my numbers are going up appropriately. My boobs are really sore plus they are already started to grow. I went from a A to a full B so far. I have to go get new bras soon!! I already have heartburn badly at night! I hope that these are all good signs. I never really had any of that with my other 3 preg and my first one went to 8wks so I am feeling a little optimistic. Hopefuly this is the most boring 9 months of our lives. -Liz _________________________________________________________________ Don't just search. Find.
