I am a type two diabetic since July 10th Of 2009. I found out the hard way that I am a diabetic. I was rushed to the hospital by ambulance with my blood sugar at 964, and my Kidneys were shutting down. I also had a real bad cut on my left leg I almost lost that leg. I was able to keep my Kidneys and no dialysis at this point of my life. Two days after I went into the hospital I had surgery on my left leg an I was able to keep it. I had to learn how to walk all over again with that leg. At this day and time my doctors have me on 35 units of insulin once a day. I also take Metformin 500mg a day half in the morning and the other at night. I am trying to behave myself so far my a1c has been at 5.4 every time I have had my blood tested. I am really looking forward to learning allot on this list.
