Guest guest
Judy, welcome. I hope you are starting to feel better and that you find some meds to help you. It is understandable that you feel the way you do. I have had IT since'96 and am still trying to find the right combination. Vimala,

I've been on this for about a year now, and it has made a very good difference for me. I miss doses sometimes -- I take it at least 2x a day, but I rarely take all three. I thought I didn't need it at one point, and didn't take but one dose for about a week, quite recently; that was NOT a good idea. I don't take it for sleep, though, never have. In fact it makes me less sleepy. But I have the same reaction to Xanax -- makes me hyper if I exceed .5 mg -- so maybe my reactions are unusual? Guest guest
Cyndie, To begin with, didn't you say you live in Northern California? What part? My hubby & I are from Sacramento. We moved to Colorado a little over four years ago. I ask, because we are the same age, and if you are from the same area, it's possible we've seen each other! As for the panic attacks and paranoia, I think that is true for some. For me, I don't (thankfully) have either, and fortunately, don't deal with depression either. As a younger person (and extremely uneducated about these things), I made the dumb assumption that depression was something people " got over " by thinking happier thoughts! O.K., now that's naïve, I know! I suspect that there are a lot of people that have friends/family that tell them this. It's a lot like people telling us with fibro that we just need to get out and be active (I remember one person's Dr. on this list saying she needed a boyfriend! I'm sure he wouldn't have told a man that all he needed was a girlfriend, and all his problems would go away!). No, I need to talk to hubby about what in the world to get the kids for Christmas! Yikes, it's that time again! I do love Christmas, it's the planning I don't really care for! Hope you all have a great week! I'm having my 2nd pain treatment tomorrow morning, which is good, because that means I don't have to wait half the day to eat! Although, the down side, is our 16 year old got his learner's permit on Saturday, and within 20 minutes, took a turn (we live in the country) too fast, and side-swiped our car on a barbed wire fence! Are we having fun yet? Yes, it was the Explorer, the more expensive of the cars. Fortunately, there was only minor scratching. He didn't want to drive anymore, but we told him he needed to overcome the fear (kind of like getting bucked off a horse!), and drive immediately again. This was difficult for us to say, as you can imagine! Anyway, after my treatment (thank heavens for drugs to knock us out!), hubby will let him drive us home after we get back out in the country! It was nice knowing all of you! Truthfully, he's a great kid, and is taking the joking very well. He has the greatest Dad around. Bill just put his hand on his shoulder, and told him everything would be all right. I, on the other hand, had just bought an expensive vacuum cleaner that was sitting in the back of our car, and I'm praying I don't have to return it to pay for damages to the car! Great Mom, huh? Guest guest
Welcome , and congratulations! My RNY was March 2001 and I'm 6 weeks pregnant, so we're not too far off from each other. Unfortunately my story's not the same as yours -- I was gaining before the pregnancy, and with the food plan they have me on I'll certainly continue to ! Guest guest
Hi , I am a fl native who had to relocate as well. Congrats on your pregnancy. I had severe nausea in the very begining, but it has started to pass. I still don't get hungry but have tried to just eat whenever I think about it. Good luck with the pregnancy and the relocation, both can be very stressful. open RNY 12/18/2001 EDD 7/23/2003 my birthday > Hi everyone > > here from Florida for now but soon relocating to > Stroudsburg, PA. Hi . I had Lap Duodenal Switch on 12-17-01 and weighed 255. I stopped losing weight in March 2002 at about 215. I didn't lose any more weight at all. (frustrating). I became pregnant 10-02 and lost 20 more lbs because I had horrible morning sickness and couldn't keep anything down. So, I am now at 195 (still 55 from goal) but I think I will start to gain again as I am now able to eat anything in sight =) in Portland, OR
