Guest guest
Hi all, I got home Friday evening from my colon re-section done on monday. The intent was to do an ultra-sound of the liver through the inscision to determine the involvement of arteries and bile ducts for possible liver re-section at a later date. The surgeon never went thru with the ultra-sound because he saw 15-20 tumor seedlings spread across my liver. DARN IT !!!!!! Of course the C.T. scans never showed these " seedlings " . I will meet with the Onc in about 2 weeks to plan for my next chemo regimen. This Onc favors the FUDR regimen which I havn't had. Earlier he had planned to ad CPT11 to the mix before it was planned to have the surgery first. I don't know if he will favor the Ebitux or not. I've had CPT11 before and he says that I can go back to it again. In pre-op I was given the choice to have an epideal for the pain management ,which I chose to take. I experienced the most horrific back pain of my life (I have had back pain most off my life). The back pain was worse than the pain of the inscision. I wondered if anyone else has had this experience with the epiderals? Dale M.
