Guest guest
> Has anyone had a HSG done before or after day 5-7 of their period? > is there any way the DR can tell? , Hi, I don't know if the doctor could tell, especially if it is just a radioligist. When I scheduled my HSG they wanted me to go in between days 7 and ten. I think I actually got it on day 11. Mostly I think the only reason they want to do it on those days is to ENSURE you are not pregnant. Maybe someone else can back me up here. I think you should be fine. Hope it goes well for you. , 25, SU resected
Guest guest
, The main reason they want you during days 5-10 is to ensure you are not pregnant. There is also some statistics that after an HSG, women have a higher chance of getting pregnant, because it flushes out the uterus and tubes. The one thing I am not sure of though, the lining of your uterus gets thicker as your cycle progresses. There is an increased risk of infection after a HSG, and some doctors prescribe antibiotics before hand to curb that. I wonder if the chances of getting an infection increase with the lining of the uterus being thicker? Not sure, a thought though. HSG question/dilema Hi All, My RE wants me to have a HSG...when I called to schedule the HSG last month on day 3 of my cycly the clinic said they were booked andf for me to call on day 1 of my next cycle which isnt until around 1/12. My referal runs out 1/10 so I called 12/30 and lied and said that was my first day and Im schedueld to have the HSG on 1/6. The receptionist said not to have sex until the after the HSG i guess to insure Im not pregnant. I'm sure I'm not pregnant but I'm scared that the DR will know I didnt have my period! Has anyone had a HSG done before or after day 5-7 of their period? is there any way the DR can tell?
