I read this a few days ago and I have thought about it and thought about it. To deprive one's self of God's love and help through this dreadful disease is to me unthinkable. Even if you don't believe, God will not give up. He'll keep knocking on your door, whether you answer or not. Without God I could not put one foot in front of the other. I could no more not proclaim my love for him when I read something like this, than I could not breathe. Jill

I've decided to leave nne. I've received some good responses but I need a different kind of group. No offense to anyone who is a believer but I'm really not interested in god talk or being told I need to trust god. I'm an atheist, have been for the better part of my 52 years and I'm also secular humanist and Unitarian Universalist. If god and religion is your thing and that's what gets you through I respect everyone's right to believe as they choose. My apologies to those who might feel insulted by this but I don't feel respected or very safe or supported in a place where people that are telling me what I need to believe or that I need to turn to a being they believe in for relief or put my trust in something out there that I have no belief in or use for.

I have started a secular support group. If anyone is interested and wants to join me please email me off list.

Apologies to anyone's feelings I may have hurt. It is not my intent.

I just had a core needle biopsy yesterday, and while I am totally bruised and in pain, I found out today that it is benign. Thank God! I was so sure it was cancer, and I have 3 little beautiful children, and I was terrified. I prayed before I called the doctor that no matter what, in knew God would be with me and take care of me. I have learned so much from all of you wonderful ladies. And I will continue to keep you all in my prayers. May you all continue with the same strength and courage that has brought you here, and God bless you all. I guess it's time for me to leave this group. Thank you.
