Guest guest
I use my crock pot. I put water in the slow cooker, the heated milk in canning jars, stir in the starter and put the jars into the water filled crock pot. I turn mine on to the lowest temp and leave the lid off. I had to play with mine a bit to figure out how to keep the temp. where it needs to be. Once in a while I still toss around the idea of getting a yogurt makes, but it's really just another thing to store, when my crock pot works fine. We are also GFCF and soy free. Can you recommend one that is affordable and reliable? Thanks Karin
Guest guest
Yes the yoghurt maker could have only cost $15.00 but does it make half gallon of yogurt? Their are many brands out there, but the Donvier is the only one that makes a large batch of it at a time. You use the yoghurt so much, that the cheaper models isnt the best or econmical. j4dcj
Guest guest
For me it is perfect. I only have one child on this diet, and she can't tolerate too much yoghurt. If I made more it would go to waste. I am sure if my whole family was on the diet a bigger maker would be worth the investment.
