Hi,

This is a wonderful exchange and thank you Geoff for all your work here. It

occurs to me that if we are talking histamine response, the Japanese

isolated a product that stimulates the liver to produce its own

antihistamine. Standard Process Labs sells that: Antronex. I use it for

allergic responses and it is very effective. Usually naturopaths, chiros

and some acupuncturists can order this if anyone wants to test it.

felicidades, Felicia

We haven't talked much about that lately. I remember a discussion way back

when we were talking about how Dr. Brown sometimes used an antihistamine for

his patients. I tried a couple and could not tell if it made a difference.

Is anyone using one now? Do any of our AP doctors advise using one?

I've never heard of what you mentioned, Felicia, do you have any more info

on it? I'll see what I can find online. Liz G.

I think the " new schools of thought " are running more toward an

impending chasm between:

1. A damaged and thus errant immune system

(see environmental concerns, etc.)

2. A competent immune system attacking what has already been

dealt with artificially and failing to balance for that

(we killed it, it finds the waste and kills it again - sounds

like the Army) ;D

3. An immune system run amok, corn-fused and stupid.

(Why aren't my eye disolving??? Maybe they are!!!) and

4. A competent immune system working to achieve a balance

of the whole body at the most exterior and non-threatening

position possible (i.e., better a skin rash than a heart

cyst)

Me too. Perhaps we need to send him some chocolates.

The concept of limiting the body response to ridding itself of a minor

proteinaceous substance to which it is allergic is quite interesting to

me. We, as a population, think absolutely nothing of grabbing an

antihistamine and popping it down, without ever considering the

consequences. Not just the consequences of the drug, OTC or Rx, but in

reality the more serious long-term consequence of forcing our body to be

internally exposed to an agent it is trying with all its vigor to rid

itself of.

Oh the exchanges we make... " Let me live in the city and breath the air,

for life I do not crave as much as convenience, amenities and the

trappings of population. I care not to live 80 or 90 or 100 years or

more - no 50 or 60 is

fine, fun is what counts. After all, I am but 23 and have all my life

before me. "

" Oh you silly child, I made the same decision as you at 23 and now I'm

63 and death looms at my door. What I would not give for 1, 5, 10 years

or more. "

It's amazing how we can drive cars when we can't see past the ends of

our noses.
