I actually asked about that before we made our final decision, and

there's a certain way you can do a tubal so you won't get pregnant.

Your OB/GYN would actually have to remove a section on the tubes and

burn the ends before completing the procedure. I told my OB I wanted

no chances of getting pregnant afterwards and she's pretty confident

this will work for me. She's done it this way for more than 10 years

and she's never had anyone get pregnant. It's also a very, very

permanent thing. No chance for reversal to try for a third baby.

Just so ya know 2 of my friends were cut/remove & burn that go pg! Just some

info.. I wanted it done when I have my c-section b/c I'll be open anyway but

they said wasn't worth the chance of failure if I was absolutely positive I

wasn't having anymore

Well I am sorry I'll keep my opinions to myself from now on. Just thought

I'd let you know what happened & what my OB said. Excuse me. ::going back

I appreciate your opinion Joy, but I would also appreciate it if you

would stop sending me negative vibes. I'm sure some of the dozens of

friends you have that have gotten pregnant after a tubal have been

exceptions. I trust that it will work for me, and besides it's the

best way to go for my own personal reasons.

Thanks again! :-)

Joy, I wasn't trying to be a big meanie, really I wasn't. It's kinda

like when you research something and you find what best suits you and

your needs and you finally make a decision, but then there's always

that one person telling you that it's not the best decision and you

kinda wanna say " SHUT UP ALREADY! " .......I have never said that to

anyone in this group nor will I ever and I won't do it now....I thank

you for your opinion, I really do. :-)

Take care Joy,

Lori~
