Guest guest
i cant say for sure, as its not like a doc has never given me bad advice (lol), but before my thyroid came out and i was in the very active throws of hashi's i had terrible breast pain and sensitivity and lumps- combo of fibrocystic disease and side effects of the depo shot. doc did tell me to take EPO, so based on that i would GUESS that it would be okay... i have a good pharmacist that i ask alot of these questions. wondering- i have really bad cramps, worse that menstrual cramps, when i ovulate. do you think EPO may help with that too? > > To anyone who would know: Would taking EPO (EveningPrimrose Oil) be OK to take? or does it not good for someone with autoimmune thryoiditis? Reason why I am asking is because I read that it can be helpful for sore breasts. I thought my sore breasts were gone except for the week before my period but they started hurting again at ovulation this month. . > thanks, > Robin V. >

Guest guest
, In my searches today I have found out that EPO is phytoestrogen but also not all phytoestrogens are bad and do not react negatively, some do. Flaxseed also contains phytoestrogens. I believe that the return of my sore breasts is because last month I bought just the Omega 3 and the complete with 3.6.9. 6 being GLA which is what is also in EPO. Here is a link to the article if you are interested. Have you noticed if taking the EPO has affected your thyroid medication (the need to increase it)? http://www.fibrocystic.com/phyto.htm Robin > > I have used EPO to help myself > in sleeping, > > I do believe it may do.. Guest guest
That is a good question, and one I can honestly not answer. At this point, I go simply by what helps me to physically feel better. I had not realised that it could adversely affect the thyroid in TX --- Robin wrote: --------------------------------- Have you noticed if taking the EPO has affected your thyroid medication (the need to increase it)? http://www.fibrocystic.com/phyto.htm Robin
