Guest guest
If you took the temp under your arm and had your arms up while outside... or spread in anyway.. that can lower the under arm temp..... if you were talking alot or mouth breathing that will lower the temp in your mouth... and, if your metabolism is really low your body temp is hard to maintain and it can drop, that's why you feel chilled, your temp is dropping and the body first tells you that it's feeling cold.... take care... as the core temp starts dropping the body has to get heat to the core, your internal organs... so it constricts blood vessels and such to the outer extremities, so cold hands and feet, and nose ( I have a big nose, it's a continent unto itself! hehehehe) to conserve body heat... the next stage is shivering... involuntary movement of muscles to create heat that is then used to keep the body organs warm.... oh my... I'm getting boring.... hehehehehee Silliness and off topic from here down.... so if you're not into that or short on time.... you can stop here and not miss anything important..... hehehehehe My Sunday is pretty good... dad dropped a computer project in my lap that should have been a no brainer but the puter that I need to do it is having fits.... I gave up fighting with it and just wiped it's hard drive and will reload.... that will show the bugger that I AM THE BOSS and it WILL do what I told it to do!!!! I'm a mean mom! hehehehehehe TV has been pleasant.. they are showing some of my old favorites (Jaws, Anaconda, stuff like that) that I can happily listen to and follow the movie while I do emails and fight with that other machine.... it's name is Tetrix.... (they are networked so all the machines have names... it's not that I named them out of my weirdness! hehehehehe) So right now Tetrix is in the dog house... it's the only desktop machine in the house that I didn't build... it's a name brand machine and it's the BIGGEST pain in the back side!!! heheheheheh It's a good day to be silly, right? My computers names: Phoenix (a desktop that I built) Tetrix (the store bought beast that was given to me as payment on a computer job) Matrix (a desktop that I built, in the hospital right now waiting for a hard drive transplant) Neelix (a desktop that I built, in the hospital right now waiting for a hard drive transplant) Mannix (a broken laptop that was given to me for parts that I fixed and got working again) Felix (a laptop that was given to me as a gift) Grissom (a laptop that was given to me as a gift) If anyone has any hard drives, or other computer parts, that they would like to send me please address to.... oh... ooops... sorry... heheheehheeh couldn't resist!!! hehehehehee Topper () On Sun, 30 Oct 2005 21:54:51 -0000 "lyongillespie" writes: :How's your Sunday going? Is that because I'm still hypo and am very vulnerable to environmental temp changes....or is this just something that happens with the normal folks too?Yesterday...while in the house all day...my temp read 98.6.These readings are with a digital device...in the mouth.~E:)

VERY enlightening. I had to take a really long hot shower to warm up. The temperature lowering...seemed to wear me right out. Had to go crash for a while. You got some funny names for those computers. Is Grissom named after the CSI character? ~E:) ~EG Connecticut Total-T 16 months ago / 37.5 mg Synthetic/120mg Armour since August 7th Yahoo! Guest guest
I think it's easier to figure stuff out if you get an idea of how things work and then can relate that to what happened... then you can make better sense out of it.... As for the names... after my BF tossed my fanny out I changed the name of my puter, he'd named that one.. and when he saw that I'd changed it, and changed it to Phoenix, rising from the ashes and all.... he was really pissed!!! The others I just kept with the theme that they should all end in IX so that they were easy to spot on a network. I do puter repair so I have other computers here to work on and it's just easier to spot mine this way.... Grissom.. that machine I set up for my book writing and just wanted to be different with him... I've kinda got the hots for Gil.... so I neamed it after him.... I'm a fan of all the CSIs and can't wait for the next series... I've heard rumors that it will be Minneapolis... so my neck of the woods.. that will be soooo cool! My planned virtual vacation this year will be revolving around writing... I hope to get some serious work done on the book..... I have wireless network with the laptop now... so I can move all over the house and still access the main puter back here... so I can 'pretend' I'm different places just by setting up in different rooms.... see? I really am weird! hehehehee Topper () On Sun, 30 Oct 2005 21:54:51 -0000 "lyongillespie" writes: : Thanks for the great explanation on the temp thing. VERY enlightening. I remember one of the characters reffering to his as "purposeful" and thought that was an intersting way to describe someone. I love Caruso. Its the orange hair. He reminds me of an over earnest muppet I guess. WOW...So tell me..what's the book about? ~E:)
Guest guest
I've seen Manhunter several times... good movie.... he was in a few others too.... one about a lunatic after his daughter, can't think of the name of it... and another was about a killer squid.. he was great in both. Caruso.... I love his voice... and the way he's always saying 'Here's what I want you to do'. I've seen him in quite a few things too.... he was on NYPD Blue for a while too. The book... it's a sci fi about, don't laugh, folks with freaked out thyroids... on the line of the world is dying off and only a handful of folks will be left.... It started out as just a sci fi that I was writing for fun... but as the years, yes, years, have passed it going to have a lot of different people showing different forms of thyroid problems... how it affects them physically, mentally and emotionally.. It reads pretty good, so far... and as I continue to add and develop characters.. well it's just a lot of fun.... if you like the book 'The Stand" By King... you'll like this, me thinks... It is sort of like "The Stand" I wonder if was undiagnosed thryoider too. He does get headbanger/drinking binges and migraine headaches...which is RARE for a healthy man. Could explain the obsessive doom cenetered fantastical writing too. I have that...just haven't figured out a way to make a buck off of it. Caruso has a SEXY voice...I love the way he retorts flatly to someone who claims they have nothing to hide..."EVERYone has something to hide".
